Birds - Alder Flycatcher
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Tyrannidae

Alder Flycatcher, Empidonax alnorum. This flycatcher is a small bird who eats insects and some seeds. His back is an almost olive hue with the rest of his body is gray. His eye is outlined in whote and there are two white bars on the wings. A juvenile might be recognized by his markings being more yellowed than white. Very similar to the WIllow Flycatcher. Photographed this Flycatcher in Leawood, KS in May.
