Class:Aves Order:Pelecaniformes Family: Threskiornithidae Genus:Eudocimus


American White Ibis, Eudocimus albus. This wading bird can be spotted by its long, curved reddish bill. Similar to, yet different from from the straight billed Egret. The White Ibis eats insects and prefers marshy habitats, mostly in the south. American White Ibis photographed in Southern Missouri.
