Birds - Black-and-white Warbler
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Parulidae Genus:Mniotilta


Black & White Warbler, Mniotilta varia. Black & White striped warbler, as its name suggests. They nest on the ground and use their beaks to find and eat insects below the bark of trees. You can tell a male by how bold the black feathers are, females and juveniles are lighter in color. Photographed this Black-and-white Warbler at Roe Park in early May.
