Birds - Black Vulture
Class:Aves Order:Accipitriformes Family:Cathartidae Genus:Coragyps

Black Vulture, Coragyps atratus. The vulture is a scavenger and an opportunistic eater, with a diet ranging from eggs and newborn animals to human dumpsters. They are mostly black, with grayish heads and lighter legs. Pictured here is a Turkey Vulture on the left, Black Vulture on the right. Dr. Nick suggests that they are together because the Black Vulture has no sense of smell and relies on the Turkey Vulture to find food.
