Birds - Blue Jay
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Corvidae

Blue Jay, Cyanocitta cristata. A gorgeous bird in blue with a white chest and blue crest, with a black collar around its neck. The sexes do not differ much in appearance. Their diet is varied, consisting of insects, fruit and seeds. Like the Cardinal, I love Blue Jays in the winter, when color is scarce. Someone once told me that their screech is intended to mock the cry of a hawk. I am prepared to sign an affidavit swearing that they use this scream to clear the bird bath so that they are the only dudes in the pool.
