Birds - Cliff Swallow
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Hirundinidae Genus:Petrochelidon

Cliff Swallow, Petrochelidon pyrrhonota. With their reddish-orange chins, black masks and white caps, these swallows are distinctive looking. They hangout in groups, around cliffs and overpasses. Cliff Swallow photographed by Nick Varvel at Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area and Clinton Lake. I believe that there are Bank Swallows mixed in with the Cliffs in these pictures.
