Birds - Dickcissel

Dickcissel, Spiza americana. The dickissel male and females vary in appearance, but both have a yellow line through the eyes. The breast of both sexes is yellow. The male has rusty shoulders and the breeding male has a black V on the neck. They eat both seeds and insects. Dickcissel photographs taken at various locations in Kansas.
