Birds - Golden-crowned Kinglet
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Regulidae

Golden-crowned Kinglet, Regulus satrapa. Migratory songbirds, named for their yellow crowns. The adult male's crown is even adorned with a bit of orange. The body is gray with green and a few white stripes. They are insectivores that live in hanging, cup-like nests. Saw this little Golden-crowned Kinglet above my head on a branch on a lake pennensula. He posed calmly while I took pictures. Saw another one in February at Fleming Park.
