Birds - Harris's Sparrow
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Emberizidae


Harris's Sparrow, Zonotrichia querula. This pink-billed sparrow can be found in the Kansas City area in the winter. They are brown and black with two white wing bars. The head and chest are splashed with black. You can find this Sparrow foraging on the ground and in bushes in the Spring and Autumn.
