Birds - Hermit Thrush

Hermit Thrush, Catharus guttatus. The Hermit Thrush is a small bird in brown and white with a freckled breast, His legs are pink and his eyes have white rings around them. These birds prefer the woods and build cup nests in the trees. Photographed in the winter by John McConnell. Apparently the Hermit Thrush is the only thrush in town during the winter months.
