Birds - Orchard Oriole
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Icteridae

Orchard Oriole, Icterus spurius. A gorgeous bird, with males colored in black, orange and a bit of white and yellow. Females are more olive gray with yellow bellies. They stick to the trees and eat fruit and insects. Unlike many species, the female Orchard Orioles actually display during courtship. These Orchard Orioles were photographed by Nick Varvel and John McConnell.

All species pages are currently being updated with more useful descriptions and information.
