Birds - American White Pelican
Class:Aves Order:Pelecaniformes Family:Pelecanidae


American White Pelican, Pelecanus erythrorhynchos. The American White Pelican is a large bird, comparable in size to the Trumpeter Swan. Its bill alone can be over a foot in length and has a pouch, or throat sack. Males and females really only differ in morphology, or size. Males are slightly larger than females.
