Birds - Red-eyed Vireo
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Vireonidae

Red-eyed Vireo, Vireo olivaceus. A hadsome bird that resembles a warbler, but isn't. The cap is a dark gray, with white "eyebrows", a black streak over the eyes and then white all through the belly. His back is olive green, accented with yellow and with gray. As his name suggests, the iris of his eyes is red. I found this Red-eyed Vireo in Johnson County in early May.
