Birds - House Sparrow
Class:Aves Order:Passeriformes Family:Passeridae

House Sparrow, Passer domesticus. Brown and white sparrow with a white wing bar. The House Sparrow is common across the States. They like to be where the people are and are opportunistic eaters - seeds, grains, insects, aphids and more. These House Sparrows are the gangs (or flocks!) of small birds that you see dashing together from bush to bush. They were initially very wary of the feeders, flying up to them cautiously and then jetting away instead of landing, like a child who was dared to knock on the door of the haunted house. Now they swarm them with abandon. The black bearded versions of the bird are the males.
